Jean-Paul is busy cutting the 2nd cutting of hay this week. In this photo he is tedding the hay to spread it out so that it can dry. After a day or so he will rake it into windrows and then bale it up.
Roxbury Farm is a 350 acre community supported farm located in Kinderhook, NY. We raise vegetables, beef, pork, and lamb for our 1100 shareholders. We grow 45 acres of vegetables, 45 acres of green manure crops, and cut 150 acres of hay each season. Our steers, sheep and pigs are on 55 acres of permanent pasture. Eighty acres are dedicated to woods, wetland, streams, ponds, and farm buildings.
